Roman Remains of Tarraco

Tarragona is home to the Roman Remains of Tarraco — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and, if your kids are even remotely interest in history, they will love it here.

On the site, there’s a 2nd century amphitheater where the gladiators used to fight, the remains of a Roman aquaduct, several religious buildings, and the old city walls. These remains are some of the best preserved Roman remains you will find anywhere in the world, which is why hundreds of thousands of people visit them every year.

The remains are also right by the beach, so in a stunning location.

Kids love it, especially on a hot day, as they get a fun train ride plus can see a lot of the city without having to walk for miles. They even have special rates for families.
