Eat the Freshest Seafood in Malaga, Spain – Featured Photo

Like shellfish? Then you will love Malaga, Spain, where you can find some of the freshest shellfish (and other fish) in the world.

One of Spain’s top tourist destinations, Malaga is also home to a thriving fishing industry, where the day’s catch are sold at fish markets, and then transported immediately to the city’s restaurants, cafes and hotels.

At any Malaga eatery, you’ll be served plates piled high with shrimp, lobster, mussels, crab, and octopus, as well as a huge variety of fresh fish that are steamed, baked, grilled, fried or used in one of Spain’s famous paellas.

Prices are also inexpensive, particularly compared to other European cities.

This gorgeous photo of a heaped plate of fresh shrimp was taken by photographer, Erik Stark, with a  a Sony NEX-5 camera.

Now if you’ve ever seen more beautiful shrimp than that, we want to know about it. Personally, I’m thinking a trip to Malaga is soon to be in my future.  I’m drooling just thinking about it.
