For years, the tourist destination of Benidorm in Spain has had the reputation of being tasteless and tacky and attracting the worst kind of British, Dutch and German tourists. Fast forward a few years and Benidorm is changing. Not only has it cleaned up its act, it’s also now home to some of the Costa Blanca’s nicest hotels offering beautiful accommodation for a still budget price.
If you are planning a trip to Benidorm, ignore the naysayers, it is actually a lovely town. Plus, with the best budget hotels in the area, how can you not.
Pension La Orozca – One of the most popular budget hotels in Benidorm at the moment is the Pension La Orozca. A family-run hotel right in the center of Benidorm in the Old Town area, Pension La Orozca offers comfortable accommodation for a cheap price.
Each guest room has an en suite bath with shower, air conditioning, and a private balcony. Rooms are basic but exceptionally clean and staff are super friendly and helpful. family rooms are also available and pets are welcome if you give the hotel prior notice.
Breakfast is also included in the rate with a continental breakfast or several cooked options.
Room rates begin at only 30 euros ($40.50) for a single room, which for this location is extremely inexpensive.

Hotel Bilbaino – In an absolutely stunning location right on Levante Beach in Benidorm, this budget hotel is a fabulous deal.
Every room has air conditioning, an en suite bath, hairdryer, flat screen TV, refrigerator, a work desk, a balcony with a sea view and Wi-Fi internet. and breakfast, with Spanish and Western choices, is included in the room rate.
The hotel itself has a lovely restaurant and bar, offers packed lunches if you’re going to be off for the day, free bicycles to borrow, and photocopying and fax services.
Room rates for single rooms start at 28 euros ($38.80); not bad for a hotel right on one of Benidorm’s beaches.
