Malaga is one of the Costa del Sol’s most-visited tourist destinations.  One of the largest cities in Spain, Malaga is full of Roman ruins, beautiful churches and, of course, as the birthplace of Picasso, a haunt for Picasso admirers from all over the world.

If you’re heading to Malaga, start off your trip with a visit to one of the area’s many tourist offices. Here, you can pick up maps, brochures, magazines, discount coupons and information on special offers for travelers around the Malaga area. You’ll also find some step-by-step area walks, which make it dead easy to see some of Malaga’s most interesting sites.

Ask too about best local Malaga restaurants and cafes and, if you don’t have a hotel booked yet, they may be able to suggest some places with great deals.

Don’t forget though, as always, contact the tourist office you’re heading to before you go as this is Spain and opening and closing hours are not set in stone.
