Does Benidorm beach get crowded? You have no idea.
This cool (and quite funky) photo was taken sometime in 2001, and shows Benidorm’s beach at the height of the holiday season. Barely a spare inch of sand left to walk on and umbrellas as far as the eye can see.
And sure, it might be Benidorm beach in 2001 but, believe us as we go there a lot, it hasn’t changed since then. Except to add a few more people that is.
That’s why we always say, if you don’t like crowds, avoid Benidorm’s beaches between the beginning of May and the beginning of September.
Take an off-season holiday to Benidorm instead. The beaches are still lovely but, unlike in the summer months, you’ll actually be able to see them, and walking on the promenades next to them is lovely.
This fun photo was taken by photographer Hans Pama, and has easily earned a spot in our ‘Featured Photo’ gallery.
