El Rastro flea market is the most popular flea market in Spain. Held every Sunday and holiday in Madrid’s Plaza de Cascorro, you can find antiques, postcards, books, DVDs and CDs, used clothes, fabrics, paintings, handicrafts, household items, and much more.
It opens at 9am when the first stalls are set up and closes at 3pm. Get there early as, by lunch time, it’s absolutely packed and, of course, the good stuff goes at the beginning.
