Madeleine McCann Sighted in Nerja, Spain? Police Investigating

Computer imagery shows how Madeleine McCann may have looked 3 years ago.

Madeleine McCann, the British girl who went missing five years ago while on a holiday with her parents in Portugal, may have been sighted in Nerja, Spain, at least according to a report from the Portuguese police.

According to them a witness came forward saying they had seen a young girl with a strong physical resemblance to Madeleine McCann in a resort in Nerja near Malaga. The Portuguese police then asked Spanish authorities to investigate.

The problem, of course, is that Madeleine disappeared when she was only 4-years-old and, today, would be nine.

So even police aren’t sure what she would look like now. They do, however, release an updated computer enhanced photograph almost every year, guessing what Madeline may look like, so those who think they may have seen her will have something to compare a sighting to.

Spanish police, however, have said they receive about three such sightings every month so, while they take each sighting seriously, they are not saying Madeline McCann’s parents should get their hopes up with this latest tip from Nerja, as it is likely just another case of mistaken identity.
