If you’ve been thinking about taking a trip to Alicante, Spain but are not sure if you like it, you might want to check out this excellent city tour of Alicante video, as it will give you a wonderful idea of just what kind of city Alicante is.

In it, you’ll get a quick tour of Alicante harbour, the old town of Alicante, the bars, restaurants and cathedral and the beautiful Explanada de España promenade. And, if that’s not enough, the view from Santa Barbara castle at the top of Mount Benacantil will certainly make you sit up and take notice.

Alicante, by the way, is quite a mellow city and, I have to say, one of my favorite cities in Spain so far. It’s relaxing, it’s beautiful and there’s quite a lot to see and do, as well as some interesting historical sites to visit and incredible restaurants and cafes to relax in.

Create your own city tour of Alicante on foot

The best way to take a city tour of Alicante, I think, is to stop off at the Tourist Center and have them recommend a few places for you to visit. You can pick up a handy city map of Alicante there as well and then just set off on foot.

The last time I was there, my parents and I wandered around just after lunch, when many of the Spaniards are having siesta. It was a wonderful way to do a city tour of Alicante without being pulled along by a tour guide, as well as get some gorgeous photographs.

If you’re still stuck for things to see and do in Alicante, this article might help.
