File this under “only on Google”. Searchers for the Eroski supermarket chain in Málaga’, Spain have been surprised lately to find their search under ‘images’ pulls up a number of porn photographs. Page after page of naked women, boobs, and lots more a family website like ours doesn’t even want to mention. But why, might you ask?
It turns out, uploaders of pornographic photographs are putting ‘Eroski’ as the area of the city they live in and Google can’t differentiate between a Spanish supermarket and someone who uploads porn.
Parents, for years, have been saying Google should have better blocking of pornographic materials and, we’re sure, at this point Eroski is probably agreeing with them.
