Iberia Express Begins Service on Sunday with Cheap Flights from 25 Euros

Iberia Express' new website, showing the countdown in hours before they start flying tomorrow

If you’re looking for cheap flights into, out of and around Spain then Iberia Express may just be the airline to choose, at least for now. The new budget airline starts service on Sunday, March 25th, 2012, with fares running as cheap as 25 euros to start with.

Iberia Express flights will initially begin from Madrid to four Spanish destinations on Sunday — Palma de Mallorca, Alicante, Málaga and Sevilla. Service will be expanded in June from Madrid to the Canary Islands for only 45 euros. Iberia Express flights to Europe will also begin between June and September, depending on the destination, and will initially cost just 59 euros for a one-way flight.

According to their website, you can start booking tickets as of tomorrow but at these cheap prices, expect them to go fast.

If you’re interested in working for Iberia Express too, they’re definitely hiring.  They’re looking for pilots, flight attendants and ground staff and you can apply directly at the Iberia Express website. For pilots you must have a Valid JAR-FCL Licence, along with other qualifications, and for flight attendants they want you fluent in both Spanish and English.

All we can say is “Good luck, Iberia Express”. It’s nice to have another cheap budget airline from Spain that doesn’t involve having to take Ryanair, the world’s worst airline.
